LaVille’s Hulsey medals at state meet

BLOOMINGTON – The high school boys track season wrapped up Friday with the state finals at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex on the campus of Indiana University.

Four area athletes competed. LaVille’s Lincoln Hulsey medaled by finishing 3rd in the pole vault after clearing 15-0 on his second attempt. That mark breaks his own school record and is the first time he has cleared that height in competition.

LV’s Erik Bedock placed 25th in the discus and 23rd in shot put. Lancer Owen Smith was 15th in the 300 hurdles. CMA’s Michael Patipe finished 24th in the 110 hurdles.
