Plymouth names Troyer new AD

PLYMOUTH – Plymouth High School is excited to announce Joshua Troyer as the next Athletic Director pending school board approval.

Joshua brings a wealth of knowledge and skills that will make him an asset to the PHS family and Plymouth community.

Joshua graduated from Manchester High School in 2009 and attended Grace College where he played golf and obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration and sports management with a minor in accounting. To further his education, Joshua attended Tiffin University where he earned his MBA in sports management.

His love for sports and coaching inspired him to complete a transition to a teaching program through Indiana Wesleyan University where he was granted his teaching license and later his administrative license.

Joshua taught kindergarten, first, and third grade at Manchester Elementary School for five years and has spent the last two years as an assistant principal at Lincoln Elementary School in Huntington, Indiana.

In addition to his experience in the classroom and the administrative realm, Joshua has led both Manchester High School’s varsity girls’ basketball and varsity girls’ golf programs as a head coach. He also coached the JV boys basketball program at Northfield High School and softball at Southwood Jr.-Sr High School.

Joshua has been married to his wife Kendall for over three years, and they plan to welcome their first child into their home next month.

“We are very excited to have Joshua a part of our PHS family,” said Plymouth Principal Jacob Singleton. “Throughout the interview process, our committee was impressed with his enthusiasm, attention to detail, and passion for sports and leadership. I have no doubt that he will hit the ground running and make a positive impact on our student-athletes, coaches, and community.”

“I could not be more excited and proud to lead Plymouth Athletics,” said Troyer. “I love the rich history that Plymouth possesses and the opportunities to build something special here that will make our community proud. As an athletic department, we will focus on supporting our athletes and helping them be prepared to succeed now and into their futures. I cannot wait to meet you all, especially our athletes in the coming weeks.”I cannot wait to meet you all, especially our athletes in the coming weeks.

“If you see me out in the community or around the school, please stop to introduce yourself as we all work together to grow and achieve the success Plymouth and our stakeholders deserve.”
