Post 27 wins slugfest with Post 151

PLYMOUTH – Kaden Milliser collected three hits in four at-bats, as Plymouth Post 27 Junior Spyders defeated Post 151 13-10 on Tuesday.

Milliser singled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Both teams had their chances in the game, but eventually, Plymouth Post took the lead thanks to a walk in the fifth inning.

An error put Post 151 Jr on the board in the bottom of the first.

An error gave Plymouth the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second.

Post 151 took command in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on three hits to take a 6-2 lead. The Spyders tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a single by Aiden Landis, a single by Jack Christiansen, and a double by Ethan Hall.

A wild pitch gave the lead back to Post 151, 7-6, in the bottom of the third.

Plymouth took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after William Kershner doubled, and Austin Price grounded out, each scoring one run.

Post 151 came right back to take the lead in the bottom of the fourth, but Plymouth wouldn’t go away scoring five runs on three hits to take a 13-9 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Milliser that drove in two.

Zack Rouch earned the win for Post 27 in relief. He allowed two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out none and walking none. Preston Jessen started on the mound for Post 27 surrendering three hits and six runs (five earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking five. Malachi Sieh and Landis each appeared in relief for Plymouth Post 27 Junior Spyders.

Plymouth piled up 11 hits in the game. Sieh and Christiansen each collected multiple hits for Post 27.
