Bethel’s Noeding Touted as CL Male Athlete of the Year
JACKSON – The Crossroads League announced on Wednesday that Tim Noeding of the Bethel University men’s soccer program has been named the 2022-2023 CL Male Athlete of the Year.
Noeding was integral in Bethel’s run to the NAIA National Championship, as well as the Crossroads League regular season and tournament titles in 2022, leading the Pilots from his midfield position during BU’s 24-1-1 season.
Noeding’s efforts led to a string of top accolades, as the third-year Pilot was selected as the NAIA National Player of the Year and an NAIA First-Team All-American. The Crossroads League also honored Noeding as its Player of the Year, as well as with a First-Team All-CL selection.
“Tim is an excellent role model of a Christ-like character while competing at a very high level,” stated Bethel head men’s soccer coach Thiago Pinto. “Tim is very respected by his teammates and campus community. He is one of our team captains and one of our accountability group leaders who not only leads by example but steps out of his comfort zone to help others grow spiritually and emotionally. Tim has been trustworthy, caring, sincere, and always worked with great passion to positively impact those around him. Tim’s leadership has been very key in helping our team achieve double-digit win seasons for three-consecutive seasons and the 2022 NAIA National Championship.”
The Crossroads League Male Student-Athlete of the Year award is nominated and voted on by the 10 Athletic Directors from the Crossroads League and announced each summer.
