Day named Culver Community Trainer
CULVER — Culver Community Schools has announced Joe Day as the new Athletic Trainer.
Day grew up locally and is a 2004 graduate of Culver Community High School. After high school, Joe attended automotive school in Chicago and upon graduation, he and his wife moved to Indianapolis where he obtained his Associates Degree in Science with a focus in Physical Therapy.
Joe and his wife moved to Plymouth where he began working as a Physical Therapy Assistant and then attended Purdue Northwest where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in 2018.
Day then worked as a Physical Therapist and attended the University of Findlay where he graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021 and was working at South Bend Orthopedics.
Joe and his family relocated to Culver in 2021 where he began assisting with the Middle School Football team.
Day was asked his goals as the Athletic Trainer
“I’d like to help reduce injury with a more proactive approach, He said. “Helping students achieve their goals. Also helping injured students/athletes return to sports.”
“In my time of coaching football, I have really enjoyed getting to know the students and returning to a school in which I enjoyed attending,” said Day. “I am really looking forward to building relationships in the community and schools where my family attends.”
Day will take over his full-time duties with CCSC on Nov. 1.
