HUNTSVILLE — The NJCAA National Championships for cross country took place at the John Hunt Cross Country Park in Huntsville, Alabama and while the Chargers didn’t have enough runners qualified to earn a team score, they did see three men run strong in the race.
Freshman runner David Shadek ran the second-best time in Charger history at 28:10.6, just nine seconds off of his own school record.
Sophomore runners Bryan Chavero Ortega (31:58.6) and Max Kendzicky (35:11.2) each ran personal best times. Chavero Ortega beat his PR by 42 seconds, while Kendzicky topped his PR by 13 seconds.
