Lady Pilgrims fall in final NLC contest

PLYMOUTH — The Lady Pilgrims hosted Northridge in their final regular-season matchup, battling through a competitive first quarter before fatigue set in during the second and taking a 60-37 loss.
Northridge capitalized on its speed and transition play, pulling ahead to a 29-16 lead at halftime. Despite a strong third-quarter effort from the Lady Pilgrims, Northridge’s pace and physicality proved difficult to match in the final period.
Chloe Horton led the Lady Pilgrims with a double-double, recording 11 points and 10 rebounds. Lena Jones contributed 6 points, four assists, and 10 rebounds, while Sophie Miller added six points and five rebounds. Mady Sullivan also contributed, finishing with nine points and four rebounds.
The JV took a 56-19 loss, with Peyton Ellinger leading the way with nine points.
The Lady Pilgrims now focus on postseason play, where they will face John Glenn in the opening round of Sectional 19 on Tuesday night.
