Glenn advances four wrestlers to Crown point
LAPORTE — Glenn’s Falcons competed in the opening round of the IHSAA State Tournament Series at the LaPorte Sectional.
The top 4 wrestlers in each weight advance to next week’s Regional at Crown Point.
Moving on for Glenn are Freshman Kyle Hudgen, 106 lbs Sectional Runner-up, Senior Brody King, 126 lbs Sectional Runner-up, and Senior Walter Drews 138 lbs Sectional Runner-up.
Wrestling for 5th place and becoming the first alternates are Sophomore Mekhi Pulluaim 165 lbs, and Sophomore DJ Martin 175 lbs.
Finishing in 6th place were Freshman Junior Garcia 120 lbs, Freshman Reuban Napper 150 lbs, Freshman Aaron Baney 215 lbs, and Sophomore Morgan Cobe 285 lbs.
Wrestling but not placing was Freshman Hunter Babcock, 144 lbs.
