Glenn softball slips past Kouts
KOUTS — Glenn’s Lady Falcons softball team traveled to Kouts for their first game, with a 5-4 win.
The scoring started with a Taylor Jackson double in the third and a Payton Thomas two-run HR to left field.
In the sixth, Kiarra Meadway doubled, McKenzie Timm drove her home with a single, and in the top of the seventh, Mackinzie Kline got on, Sophia Lizzi singled to tie the game, and Addi Mannering doubled in what would prove to be the winning run.
Kouts threatened in the bottom of the seventh with runners on, but Timm finished off the side for the complete-game win.
Glenn is in action on Saturday at Kankakee Valley at 11 a.m.
