Plymouth tennis stays unbeaten
PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Girls Tennis Team hosted Elkhart at the Mary Beth Hunter Tennis Complex Wednesday in the first home match of the young 2025 season, sweeping the Varsity matches by a 5-0 score.
All five courts were won in straight sets, with 1S Tynley Gantz, 2S Sophia Cantero, and 3S Mia Hartley taking the singles positions and 1D Marley Christy-Emma Jackson and 2D Marisa Langfeldt-Natalie Sheely taking the doubles matches.
“After two long road trips, it was nice to have a match on our home courts,” said Plymouth coach Brad Haeck. “Overall I am very pleased with the focus, effort and attitude the girls displayed today, as well as the level of play across all courts. I thought we had a really good practice yesterday, and it was nice to see us implement some things we worked on into tonight’s matches. I look forward to a great test on the road tomorrow night against an excellent Chesterton team and see how we respond to that challenge.”
The Plymouth JV Tennis Team hosted Elkhart Wednesday night and earned their first win of the 2025 season, with a 9-4 final score.
