Lions end regular season with win
BREMEN — Bremen finished the season with a 9-1 win over Marquette Catholic for their 17th win of the year.
The Lions played another complete game, collecting 13 hits, allowing one earned run, and committing no errors on the day. Defensively, the Lions converted on three double plays on the day to back up the pitching duo of Brady Weldy and Casey Ton.
On offense, the Lions saw five players collect multiple hits, including Preston Williams notching his sixth straight game with two-plus hits. Other multi-hit Lions included Jack Wildauer, Zack Buszkiewicz, Zack Rouch, and Aiden Alvarado.
Brady Weldy secured the win on the mound, going four innings, allowing one earned. Casey Ton finished the game out going three innings, allowing two hits and striking out five. Bremen will travel to Jimtown next Saturday to take on Winamac in the opening round of sectionals.
