Kincaid qualifies for State run

GOSHEN — Bremen’s boys track team had one of the largest groups to ever represent the team at a Regional competition on Thursday at Goshen with an athlete competing in every running event and the pole vault. The boys had a great evening, running some of the best times in school history, including another school record.
Senior Luke Kincaid highlighted the night in the 800-meter run, a loaded field of runners trying to get to the state meet. Kincaid took off and led the race for a large portion before a challenge to the finish line with three other runners. As he crossed to finish, he had broken his own school record set earlier this year and beat the state standard time, running a 1:54.55. Kincaid will represent the Lions next Friday at North Central High School at the State Championships.
The boys’ 4×100 relay of Will Stiles, Oliver Nunemaker, Carson Anderson, and Brock Ginter finished their season with their best time and the 3rd fastest time in school history, running a 44.58, placing them 11th overall.
The boys 4×400 relay of Carter Filson, Bryan Contreras, Broc Smessaert, and Dylan Goff also ran their fastest time of the season, a 3:39.21, the 5th fastest time in school history, placing them 12th overall.
The boys 4×800 relay of Matt Urbina, Bryan Contreras, Carter Filson, and Ben Brady ran the 3rd fastest time in school history, an 8:28.02, finishing them 11th overall.
