Bremen, NorthWood JV battle to tie
BREMEN — The JV Boys Soccer team welcomed the Northwood Panthers to the Bremen Soccer Complex Monday night for a rematch of the varsity teams that took place on Saturday. The game was tight throughout, with both teams having opportunities to score and win the game, in the end neither could and settled for a 0-0 tie.
The Lions produced numerous efforts on target at the beginning of the first half, but the Northwood keeper was up to the task. While the offense continued to push for a goal, the Bremen defensive line and goalies made sure Northwood couldn’t find the back of the net.
Freshman goalie Isaac Garber and Sophomore goalie Maddox Martinez both kept a clean sheet on the night, repeating the same feat from the second game of the Northwood Invite in which each keeper kept a 0 for the team.
Freshman defender Bryce Bishop went the distance for the Lions as fellow freshman Josue Pepin led the team in steals.
