LaPorte sweeps past Plymouth
LaPORTE — Plymouth’s girls volleyball team took a loss at LaPorte 3-0 by scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-15.
Olivia Ringer had 19 assists, Sophia Stein and Jersey Hunter each had six kills. Ringer added 18 digs and Hunter 14.
“LaPorte is historically a tough team; they play clean volleyball,” said Plymouth coach Ashley Koss. “We came out firing tonight, but at times had too many mistakes. The girls fought hard against a tough team, and we fell short. We plan to learn from this and get better each day. With two more big matches this week, we need to hold our heads high and allow ourselves to learn from tonight.”
The JV fell by scores of 25-9, 25-16.
Both teams are 1-1 on the year and will be in action Wednesday, Aug. 20 at home versus Tippecanoe Valley.
