LaVille slips past Argos girls

ARGOS — The Argos Lady Dragons hosted the LaVille Lady Lancers Thursday night and fell 3-2 in the final minutes.
Argos was first on the board in the 10th minute with a cross by Hayna Willis and a volley by Haley Shafer. LaVille was able to tie things up in the first half during the 24th minute, 1-1.
In the 50th minute, Madi Reynolds was able to float an outside shot over the keeper’s hands, and make it 2-1 Argos.
LaVille responded quickly in the 54th minute to even the score up 2-2.
The final goal came with under 2 minutes remaining when LaVille landed a near half-field shot over the keeper.
The Dragons outshot the Lancers 9-5 and but fell to 0-3-1 on the season. LaVille stays unbeaten at 3-0.
Argos will begin a 4-game road trip, starting at Mishawaka Saturday morning at 10 am.
