Lions come back for game two win

NAPPANEE — The Lions of the Bremen Boys Soccer team entered game two of the Northwood Invitational facing Manchester and rebounded from a game one loss quickly, posting a 6-0 shutout.
It didn’t take long for the boys to prove what they were capable of as senior captain Jared Alvarado scored only five minutes into the game on a penalty kick he earned on a shot blocked by a defender’s hand.
The scoring floodgates opened for the team as Alex Gallegos and Remi Elliott also scored, followed by another goal by Alvarado. Freshmen Lincoln Yoder and Josue Pepin both had assists, as well as sophomore Alan Barrera.
Bremen continued pushing in the second half and added two more goals through pressure applied by Alvarado and Isaac Gallegos. The defensive line was stalwart throughout the game and was able to keep a clean sheet.
