America shines in Charger win

PORT HURON — Despite a tough start to the season, the Marian University Ancilla Women’s Soccer team has remained resilient and competitive and picked up its first win of the season, 4-2, over St. Clair County Community College.
Coming up huge for the Chargers was 5-foot-2 Freshman America Reyes. The aggressive Reyes scored all four goals for the Chargers on eight shots on goal.
As she has been all season, Freshman goalkeeper Reagan Kooy was impressive between the pipes, saving 20 shots on goal.
The Chargers are back in action Wednesday, when they travel to Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
