Bremen to host 2000 State Runner-Up Volleyball Team Recognition

BREMEN — Thursday, Oct. 2, Bremen High School will honor the Bremen High School 2000 State Runner-Up Volleyball team before the Varsity Volleyball match against Jimtown. A reception for the team will begin at 5 PM before the JV match, with the on-court recognition taking place between 6:30 and 6:45 PM.
This special celebration coincides with Senior Night, where five current seniors will be honored immediately following the JV game.
Led by Coach Beth Huppert, the 2000 Lions finished the season with an impressive 26-6 record, the second-most wins in school history, just behind the 2003 team’s 29 victories. That season, the Lions went undefeated in the Northern State Conference and captured the first sectional title in Bremen volleyball history by defeating John Glenn, Westview, and Fairfield.
The journey continued as the Lions triumphed over North Newton and Garrett at the Regional level, earning a spot in the Final Four. Ranked #7, Bremen then defeated Centerville in Noblesville before falling to powerhouse Muncie Burris, who went on to claim their 4th consecutive state championship.
