Pilgrim runners in second NLC super dual

WARSAW — The Plymouth XC teams traveled to Warsaw last evening for the NLC Super Dual #2. The boys’ team ran strong, consistent races, but maintained their 8th place status. The ladies ran well and narrowly missed 4th place by 4 points.
The girls were able to beat Northridge, whom they lost to in the first Super Dual. But, they lost to Northwood, who they beat in the first Super Dual.
Junior leader Vivy Miller ran a phenomenal race, taking 3rd overall in 19:37, while freshman standout Brooklyn Scruggs was 8th overall, solidifying her consideration for an all-conference bid after the conference championship race. Brooklyn also moved up in the All-Time Plymouth Top 50 Lists from 32nd to 27th fastest 5k with her 20:29.
The Pilgrims have 12 days off from racing as they don’t have an invite this Saturday. Their next meet is Saturday, 9/27 hosted by New Haven High School at Huntington University.
