Glenn rides big first quarter to win over Plymouth

WALKERTON — In a game you heard here on MAX 98.3, Glenn’s Lady Falcons rode 15 first-quarter points to a 31-21 win over Plymouth in girls basketball action.
Mia Hurford had nine of her game-high 16 in that quarter, which allowed the Falcon defense to take over, holding Plymouth to just 21 points, shooting just 25 percent from the field.
Plymouth was led by Hayden Shipley with seven points, Lydia Wray had five, and Chloe Horton had five with four steals.
Hurford had four rebounds and three steals to go with her 16 points. The Bourbon Street Pizza Player of the game, Adrianna Stanley, had five points all in the fourth quarter, 10 rebounds, five of those in the final eight minutes, and added five steals.
In the JV game, Glenn took a 34-22 win. Liv Egger led Glenn scoring with 9 points, followed by Karsyn Bogard with 8 and Mia Wilton with 7. Ella Murphy had nine points for Plymouth, Miel Ramirez had five points, 19 rebound,s and two steals.
Glenn is now 10-2 and will play Thursday against Argos. Plymouth is now 5-6 and will take on Goshen at home on Saturday in a game you can hear on MAX 98.3.
