Lancers edged by SB Washington

LAKEVILLE – A cold shooting first half for LaVille and hot shooting South Bend Washington team were the difference Tuesday night at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium.
The Panthers outscored the Lancers 25-22 in the final period, thanks in part to five treys by Terrance McKinnie as Washington edged LaVille 63-60 in high school basketball.
McKinnie finished with 9 triples and led all scorers with 30 points.
LaVille struggled from deep, hitting two beyond the arc and five total in the game.
Both teams heated up in a thrilling fourth quarter as the teams battled back and forth in scoring a combined 47 points.
Lance Edison led three players in double figures with 24 points. Andre Gonzales had 14 and Liam Amor 12 for LHS.
Ryan Maenhout and Braedyn Foster played big on the boards – Maenhout hauled down 14 rebounds, while Foster grabbed 12.
LaVille moves to 14-9 overall and will travel to Plymouth February 27.
