Two Triton wrestlers move on to Semi-State
MISHAWAKA — Triton has two varsity wrestlers moving on in state tournament action who earned runner-up
finishes at the IHSAA Regional competition held at Penn High School this past Saturday, securing their advancement to Semi-State.
Senior Colton Reynolds placed 2nd in the 190-pound weight class, continuing his strong senior season with an impressive showing throughout the tournament. He ultimately finished as Regional Runner-Up after facing a top-ten-ranked Penn wrestler in the championship match.
Junior Gage Peltz also earned a 2nd place finish in the 165-pound weight class with a strong performance against a challenging field. Peltz advanced to the finals with a decision victory followed by a major decision, demonstrating both grit and strength. He finished runner-up after competing against the state’s #2-ranked
