Plymouth girls’ track opens indoor season

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s girls track team opened the year in their first indoor meet at Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday.
“It was a great day at IWU,” said coach Rick Stiles. “We saw great performances in the individual events and relays throughout the day. Eva Macey finished sixth as she ran her fourth time under 10 seconds in the 60m hurdles. All four relays ran great, all finished in the top 8 in a stellar field that included some of the state’s top teams: Carmel, Noblesville, and Columbia City. We had two compete in both long jump and the shot put and got some valuable experience for next weekend. Vivy Miller, Lauren Gurtner, Taylor Schadek, Ryleigh Schadek, Brooklyn Scruggs, Hayden Shipley, Ava Lloyd, Kathryn Morrison and Eva Macey all put in two or more events during the first Hoosier State Relay and represented the Big Red P proudly.”
