Plymouth bats erupt in win over Warsaw

WARSAW — Plymouth’s softball team used a five-run second inning to cruise to an 18-1 win over Warsaw on Saturday.
Kyndall Marcum was 4 for 4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs. Gracie Patric had three hits with a pair of doubles and three RBIs, and Lilly Runyan had three hits and four RBIs.
Ivy Stackhouse took the win, allowing just one hit and striking out 17. She also had a pair of doubles and two RBIs at the plate.
“Ladies came out swinging today,” said Plymouth coach Brian Hamman. “Ivy had a dominant performance in the circle, striking out 17 Batters. From top to bottom of the lineup, we were getting on base and scoring runs. We will be tough to beat if we continue to hit the ball like this. Our pitching staff continues to be a force in the circle.”
Plymouth is 6-3 on the year and 2-1 in the NLC. Plymouth will be at Goshen on Monday.
