University of Notre Dame to Host Indiana University at Four Winds Field

Proceeds from the ticket sales of the fall exhibition game between the in-state rivals will benefit Beacon Children’s Hospital.

SOUTH BEND, IN – The University of Notre Dame and Indiana University will bring their baseball rivalry to Downtown South Bend this fall as the Fighting Irish host the Hoosiers in a special exhibition game at Four Winds Field on Friday, October 9.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
General admission tickets are $10 plus ticketing fees, with proceeds benefiting Beacon Children’s Hospital.
Tickets on sale Monday, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. ET.
Concession stands will be open throughout the game, along with the Miller Lite Tiki Hut, Cubs Den Team Store, and CareSource Playground.
A limited number of suites are available for the event. Fans interested in purchasing a suite should contact the South Bend Cubs Box Office at (574) 235-9988 for pricing and availability.

Both programs have produced numerous Major League players and managers over the years. Notre Dame alumni include Craig Counsell, Jeff Samardzija, A.J. Pollock, Trey Mancini, and Cavan Biggio, while Indiana alumni include Kyle Schwarber, Scott Effross, and Kyle Hart.
Notre Dame Baseball has a long-standing relationship with Four Winds Field and the South Bend Cubs. The Fighting Irish and South Bend Cubs previously played preseason exhibition games in 2017 and 2019, while the 2018 matchup was rained out. In 2014, Notre Dame called Four Winds Field home while renovations were completed at Frank Eck Stadium.
