HS FOOTBALL: Bremen rolls over Prairie Heights 48-27

The Bremen Lions were excited to have a full roster of starters for their opening round of the Class 2A IHSAA Football Sectionals.  They faced a one win Prairie Heights team that had been struggling putting numbers on the scoreboard.   The Lions offense made it difficult for the Panthers to get anything going consistently.

Lion QB Matt Box threw for four touchdowns, including two to Ryan Topper, as Bremen ran away from Prairie Heights.   The Lions provided a balanced attack offensively passing for 195 yards, while rushing for 214.

The Lions (5-5) got ahead early 31-0 in the second quarter before coasting into the win.

Box’s efficiency led him to a 10 of 19 passing performance for 195 yards with no interceptions.

Topper grabbed five passes for 91 yards, and Rom DePalma rushed for 102 yards on 16 carries.

Bremen travels to Wabash next Friday.
