Plymouth Sports: WEEK IN REVIEW (1-25 to 1-29)

PHS BOYS BASKETBALL:

The boy’s basketball team hosted Wawasee last Friday night in an NLC contest.  The Pilgrims defeated the Warriors 62-42.

The Pilgrims only lead 32-23 at halftime.  The Pilgrims jumped on the Warriors in the second half outscoring them 30-19.

Nick Felke lead the Pilgrim onslaught with 22 points.  Senior Josh Anders added a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Cam Eveland added five assists and three steals.

“I thought our kids played consistent for the four quarters of the ballgame.”, said HC Ryan Bales on the MAX 98.3 Saturday Morning  Coaches Show.   “We got a lot of effort off our bench which is great to see.   When you have Anders (16 pts) and Felke (22 pts) logging a lot of minutes lately, it was nice to have Garret Tharp and Ryan Carmicheal be productive on the court when I rest the other two.”

The Pilgrims run their record to 3-1 in the NLC and 11-4 overall.  Next up is a double home weekend with Northridge coming to The Rock Friday night and Mishawaka here Saturday night.  JV start time is 6:15 Friday night and 6:45 Saturday night.
