Abby Machnic

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Abby Machnic, a member of the Girls Golf Team at John Glenn High School.

Abby helped lead her team to victory in a 3-way Northern Indiana Conference meet with wins over Elkhart Central and Mishawaka. The Veteran Junior shot a 44, along with teammate Megan Kobelt, giving the team a 3-1 NIC record after an earlier win over South Bend Adams and a tough loss to Penn. 

Abby was team Most Valuable Player as a Sophomore and advanced to Regional competition as an individual last year after taking over the #1 singles spot early in the season. 

Abby is the daughter of Mark and Tracey Machnic.
