John Glenn Gets 3-0 Win Over Jimtown

The John Glenn Lady Falcons Volleyball Team took care of business on their home floor, defeating the Jimtown Lady Jimmies 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, and 25-12). It was an extremely hard fought match by both teams, with the Lady Falcons holding off rallies and finding ways to get the job done at the end of each game.

“The biggest key was our scrappy defense” Glenn coach Taylor Kalucki said after the win. “We knew coming in that Jimtown was going to be a hard fought team, so we knew they weren’t going to give us anything, they weren’t going to lay down” she continued. “Our defense really kept us in it”.

The Lady Falcons counted on multiple players throughout the match, as it was truly a team win for Glenn. Senior Hannah Dickinson led the team in assists with 21, while fellow Seniors Taylor Cuskaden and Julianne Wilk each had 10 and 9 kills respectively. Senior Raegan Romer led the Lady Falcons with 4 blocks while senior Jorjia Ayers had 18 digs.

“Our coach kind of told us we can’t underestimate them” Ayers said of the Lady Jimmies. “They took some sets off some pretty big teams. We were really prepared” Ayers continued, “we really had our mind in the game the whole time”.

With the win, the Lady Falcons improve to 17-1 on the year, with a 7-1 record in the Northern Indiana Conference.
