Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 12-28-19

Garret Weil

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Garrett Weil, a member of the Boys Basketball Team at Oregon-Davis High School.

Garrett Helped lead his team to it’s first win of the season, and the first win for new Head Coach, Larry Sennert. The 6’0 Senior had a double-double as the Bobcats came back from a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat LaCrosse 52-51! He scored 17 points, with 12 coming in the second half. He also pulled down ten rebounds, was 5-8 at the free throw line, and hit two 3-pointers in the Bobcats first win of the year. A 2-year starter for the Bobcats, Garrett is the son of Annette and Bryan Weil.

Garrett will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the award, a t-shirt commemorating her achievement, and a free pizza compliments of Momma’s Pizzeria in Knox. He will also be a future guest on the Saturday Sportsline. Garrett will also be eligible for our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Year award next Spring, which carries with it a beautiful plaque, and college scholarship compliments of WKVI and the family of Tyler Roth.

Congratulations to Garrett Weil of Oregon-Davis High School, our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week!
