Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 12-19-20

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Remi Jordan, a member of the Girls Basketball Team at Knox Community High School.

Remi surpassed the 1,000 point mark in her career as she led her team to a 45-41 win over Elkhart. She had a huge day, logging a double-double which included 20 points and 2- rebounds against the 4A Lady Lions, giving the Lady ‘Skins a 10-0 record. The effort against the much bigger school came less than 24 hours after her team had beaten Oregon-Davis 62-39, as the 6’0 Senior scored 16 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, had 2 steals, and 2 blocks against the Lady ‘Cats.

A four year starter for the Lady Redskins, Remi also runs track and cross country at Knox. She was named the Most Valuable Runner for the cross country team last Fall. Remi is the daughter of Shanna and Josh Jordan. Congratulations to Remi Jordan of Knox Community High School, our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week.

Remi will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the award, a t-shirt commemorating her achievement, and will be our guest on a future Saturday Sportsline. She will also be eligible for our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Year Award next Spring, which carries with it a beautiful plaque, and college scholarship compliments of WKVI and the family of Tyler Roth!
