Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 4/3/21
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Jenna Patton, a member of the Softball Team at West Central High School.
Jenna led her team to an opening-game victory with a two run homer that sparked a 5 run rally in the last inning. Trailing Faith Christian 7-3 heading into the bottom of the 7th and with one out already, the veteran Senior blasted the round-tripper to bring the Trojans back within 2 and her teammates continued the rally with 3 more runs to win 8-7.
Jenna was walked, hit by a pitch and played a solid game at first base to get her team off on the right foot.
A 4 year letterwinner in softball Jenna is the daughter of Mark and April Patton and also was a 2 year letterwinner in basketball for the Trojans.
Congratulations to Jenna Patton of West Central High School our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week.
Jenna will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the Award, and a T-shirt commemorating her achievement and she’ll also be a future guest on the Saturday Sportsline.
Jenna will also be eligible for our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Year Award later this Spring which carries with it a beautiful plaque and a college scholarship, compliments of WKVI and the Family of Tyler Roth.
