Glenn softball splits in Jimtown Invite
JAMESTOWN — Glenn’s softball team went to the Jimtown Invitational on Saturday for two games.
The Falcons played well but fell in game one to Edwardsburg.
Makinzie Kline led the way for the Falcons with three hits, including a double and one RBI. Payton Thomas had two hits and an RBI. Miah Lichtenbarger and Addy Smigielski each had a hit.
In game two the Falcon bats came alive over Mishawaka Marian, taking an 11-1 win.
Leading the way on the day was Kline with 4 hits, with a double and 2 RBIs. Sophia Lizzi and Makayla Laskowski added two hits each, both with a double and a single, Laskowski had two RBIs. Payton Thomas hit a solo home run. Addi Manering, Miah Lichtenbarger, McKenzie Timm, and Smigielski all got 1 RBI in the game.
Timm got the win while pitching the complete game and adding 9 more K’s to her tally on the year.
Glenn is 6-6 and is on the road at Elkhart Christian tonight.
