Plymouth tennis falls to Culver Academy in sectional final
CULVER — Plymouth traveled to Culver Friday to participate in the Final Round of the Culver Academies Girls Tennis Sectional, losing a close match with Culver Academies 3-2.
The Plymouth one doubles team of Seniors Marley Christy and Emma Jackson will move on in the Individual Doubles Sectional Tournament that will take place at Culver Academies, likely on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. Marley and Emma will go into that match having won 13 of their last 14 matches together at the top doubles position.
Prior to Friday’s loss, Plymouth had won 10 straight dual matches, along with a runner-up finish in the NLC Conference Tournament last week. The Pilgrims finish their 2025 team season with a 14-6 overall record (5-2 in the NLC).
“This was a very close match that came down to a handful of points that decided the outcome,” said Plymouth coach Brad Haeck. “Overall, very proud of the girls. This has been a great group of players to work with this season, and they had a great work ethic, leadership, and positivity. This has been a special group of Seniors that we will miss very much next year.”
