Zdyb Earns All-American honors at National Championships
PLYMOUTH — Last week, Swan Lake Golf Resort and Marian University Ancilla played host to the NJCAA Division II Men’s Golf National Championships. Despite cold temperatures and three days of rain to begin the tournament, the participating teams and golfers were able to complete the event on time Friday evening, with Charger Freshman Hunter Zdyb once again standing out for Marian Ancilla.
Zdyb, who came to the Plymouth campus this year from nearby New Prairie High School, did enough to earn himself a 13th-place finish, which qualified him for the All-Tournament Team, plus Hunter was honored with the recognition of being an NJCAA Division II All-American. Overall, Hunter finished with a low round of 69 on Wednesday, plus he scored 14 birdies throughout his 4-round week.
