Plymouth’s Jackson competes in North/South tennis all star series

PENDLETON — PHS Girls Tennis officially ended their tennis “playing” season Sunday, June 15, with Senior Emma Jackson participating in the 27th Annual North/South Senior Tennis All-Star event held at Community Sports & Wellness in Pendleton.
The event was sponsored by the Indiana Coaches of Girls’ Sports Association (ICGSA). Emma played on the North team. The day consisted of three rounds of play; Rounds 1 and 2 where they play a set to 6 games, and then Round 3 where they play a super tiebreaker to 10.
Emma played 3D with Landry Schrock of Goshen (1S) in Round 1 against Kameron Knight of Evansville Reitz and Kenna Garland of Washington, with Emma and Landry winning 6-4.
Emma played 4D with Lily Harpe of Alexandria (1D) in Round 2 against Grace Arnold of South Knox and Ashley Embrey of Center Grove, with Emma and Lily losing 6-4.
Emma played 4D with Tatum Evers of NorthWood (1S) in Round 3 against Gabby Jackson of Lawrence North and Kameron Knight of Evansville Reitz, with Emma and Tatum winning 10-7.
JACKSON was able to win two out of her three matches, with both wins coming with partners from NLC teams as well. She contributed 5 points towards the 41-19 North Team Victory.

Plymouth’s Tynley Gantz and Marley Christy were also chosen for the squad but were unable to play.
