Chargers Eubanks Named Player of the Week
DONALDSON — Last Wednesday, in the Chargers’ final game before the Thanksgiving break, sophomore Santana Eubanks helped lead Marian Ancilla to a 74-62 victory over Edison State by scoring 26 points on 9-14 shooting, including an 8-10 performance from the charity stripe. Additionally, the 5-8 forward from Kentwood, Michigan, pulled down 10 rebounds, blocked 4 shots, and handed out 3 assists, while also collecting 3 steals, earning herself Player of the Week honors for the MCCAA’s Western Conference.
Eubanks had an outstanding 2024-2025 season in which she won the title of Freshman of the Year in the MCCAA’s Western Conference. Through five games this season, she is averaging 19.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 3.4 steals per game, while shooting 48% from the field.
The Chargers are back in action today, as they host Montcalm Community College at the LifePlex in Plymouth at 5:30 p.m. It is a women’s/men’s double-header.
