Plymouth JV splits in Holiday Tourney
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s JV Pilgrims evened their record with a commanding 65-25 win over New Prairie.
“That was a complete team effort from start to finish,” said Plymouth coach Kadin McCrammer. “After a slow first quarter, our guys locked in defensively and really set the tone in the second and third, holding them to just three points and then none in the third.”
Klynt Verhaeghe had 14 points for Plymouth. Adan Macias and Spencer Goebel had 11.
The team took a defeat at the hands of Huntington North by a final of 64-42.
“A slow start in an early morning game, put us in an early deficit we were never able to climb out of,” said McCrammer. “We struggled to handle their length and pressure, which led to too many turnovers.”
Macias had 17 to lead Plymouth.
The JV Pilgrims are now 4-5 on the year.
