Lady Pilgrims grab NLC win

DUNLAP — Plymouth’s softball team evened their NLC record with a 7-5 win over Concord.
The big blow was a Kylee Waldrop three-run triple. Gracie Patrick, Lexi Pike, and Lilly Runyan each had three hits for Plymouth. Patrick took a complete game win, striking out nine and walking one.
“Great come-from-behind win for us tonight,” said Plymouth coach Brian Hamman, “Kylee Waldrop’s triple really got us going offensively while Gracie was able to finish strong on the mound. Still a few things to clean up for us defensively, but some girls have found some new homes on defense. I was proud of the girls for not letting the change of venue and an impromptu bus ride affect the way we played tonight.”
Plymouth will be at home tonight against Riley with a 5:30 p.m. start.
