Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Hope Klemz, a member of the Softball team at LaCrosse High School.

Hope led her team to two wins in the opening week of the season, including a 9-1 win over Winamac in which she struck out 14 batters and allowed only 1 run. The freshman phenom gave up just 3 hits and 2 walks. The Lady Tigers opened the season on Wednesday with a 16-8 win over Calumet when Hope came on in relief to get her first win as a varsity player.

Hope is the daughter of Bob and Melissa Klemz.
