Being ranked in the Top 20 in Class 2A has its benefits, but also its share of challenges for the Culver Lady Cavaliers. Last Thursday, Wabash came in the form of one of those challenges, one that Culver handled 48-39.
This game featured some talented scorers. Culver's leaders Donna Zehner (19) and Mickella Hardy (13) combined for 32 points for the Lady Cavs.
Wabash's "Batman and Robin" duo consisted of Cromer (18) and Puckett (11) who combined for 29 of the 39 points scored.
Culver had a good finish to the 2nd quarter where they outscored Wabash in one portion of that quarter, 6-0.
Although Culver's 12 turnovers were not necessarily damaging, they did however, come at unfortunate parts of the game which allowed Wabash to hang around.
Culver was able to thwart a comeback attempt by the Apaches, outscoring them 14-12 in the 4th quarter.
