Pilgrim gymnasts get a win at Warsaw

WARSAW —  The PHS Gymnastics team traveled to Warsaw for a four-way meet on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The Pilgrims came away with the victory with a team total of 100.25 points. New Prairie was 2nd with a score of 99.4. Logansport was 3rd with 94.85 points, and Warsaw was 4th with a score of 71.35.

Plymouth had multiple gymnasts place in the top 6 in each event. Jersey Hunter tied for 1st on vault, placed 1st on beam and floor, and finished 3rd on bars. Hunter was also 1st in the all-around with a score of 35.25.

Lila Hanyzewski was 3rd on beam and 4th on floor. Jenna Blake was 4th on bars and 6th on floor.  

Joy Everett was 2nd on vault. Sophia D’Alonzo was 5th on beam. Arielle Ferman tied for 5th on the vault. Amyra Benchaar placed 6th on bars.

On Saturday, Feb. 10, Plymouth’s varsity squad will compete at the Angola Invite, and the JV will be at the Logansport Invitational.
