Plymouth runners open the indoor season

INDIANAPOLIS — Over the weekend, the Plymouth track and field teams traveled to the University of Indianapolis to compete in their first indoor meet hosted by Pike High School.
Finn Holm had a long jump of 18’2” which was his personal best, and earned him 17th out of 36 jumpers.
Brady Coffin jumped 17’11” and was 20th of the 36.
In the 60 Dash, Carter Bush ran 7.49 in his first race taking 19th out of 45 sprinters. Ethan O’Leary ran 7.80 and was 33rd of the 45.
The Pilgrims 4×200 relay ran very well and placed 17th of the 22 teams. The 4×400 just missed breaking 4 minutes and was 14th out of 18 teams.
“I was very proud of the effort from our kids today,” said Plymouth coach Curtis Nordmann. “They have worked hard for the past couple of weeks and performed well in our opening meet.”
Plymouth will be in action on Saturday at Pudue-Ft. Wayne University. The team’s last indoor meet before outdoor season starts after spring break.
