“The girls took advantage of being in their home gym and stepped out putting up season-high scores and career bests on numerous events,” said Plymouth coach Amanda Bender. “The depth in our roster got a chance to shine as our JV team technically placed 3rd but was ineligible for team awards since they were a second Plymouth roster.”
“It is always a great opportunity to let the younger girls feel the pressure of a larger event that way, when their time comes, they are ready for the challenge,” she said. “We had lots of new skills that went into routines this weekend, as well as girls competing in certain events for the first time this season. Overall, it was a strong showing and a back-to-back win at our home invitational that sets us up for a quick start as our season really gets going.”
