Chargers save Best for last, finish 2nd at MCCAA Championships

PLYMOUTH — Every team’s goal is to compete for a championship, and it feels like the Marian University Ancilla Men’s Golf team has been getting stronger and stronger as the season has worn on. The team has been improving and the individuals have been improving, but what happened on Monday afternoon at the MCCAA Championship at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth was incredible.
The Chargers came out on a mission and finished in 2nd Place in the conference among 12 eligible teams.
Additionally, Freshman Hunter Zdyb continued his great play, finishing with a +3 147 over two rounds, just a pair of strokes off of 1st, ultimately finishing in 2nd Place at the event.

Next up for the Chargers is the Region 12 Championship at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Region 12 Championship will take place on May 5th and 6th, with tee times still to be announced for the Marian Ancilla golfers.
