Plymouth tennis falls to Valley
PLYMOUTH — On the eve of the Blueberry Festival, the Plymouth Boys Tennis team hosted Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday night, falling by a 4-1 final score.
The Pilgrims struggled once again on the singles courts, as the Vikings boasted a solid trio of players. Plymouth was much more competitive on the doubles courts, as the Plymouth 2D team of Benson Prater and Landon Tyler lost two super-tight sets, while the 1D duo of Nick Manzuk and Owen Walleske pulled out their doubles match in two competitive sets.
“I thought we did some nice things tonight across all the courts, but we just have to be more consistent,” said Plymouth coach Brad Haeck. “Footwork, racket preparation, and decision making are common themes on all of the courts. We have to be intentional about getting better in practice. I look forward to a few practice days before we play our next match and the opportunity to improve our skills and continue to build confidence in our games.”
Plymouth Varsity/JV hosts Triton on Wednesday, 9/3/25, for a 4:30 PM start.
