MUAC men’s soccer grabs win
FREMONT, OH — Saturday afternoon, the Marian Ancilla Men’s Soccer team traveled to Terra State Community College in Fremont, Ohio, to take on the Titans. The Chargers erupted for five goals in a 5-1 win over the host team.
Sophomore Matt Polk Jr. and Freshman Jahnoi Moses stole the show, as they were each terrific offensively. Polk scored a hat trick, with his final goal coming in the waning seconds. He also assisted with one of Moses’ goals. Moses himself put away two scores, plus he also had an assist on one of Polk’s goals.
Freshmen Angel Rojas (2 assists) and Jimy Gomez (1 assist) also got into the action, handing out three assists between the two of them. Freshman goalkeeper Christian Rodriguez has been very good in net all year, and Saturday, he continued his strong play with 7 saves in 8 attempts.
The Men’s Soccer team takes the field again on Wednesday, when they travel back to Ohio to take on Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo. The men will be the back half of a double-header with the MUAC Women’s Soccer team.
