Pilgrim runners sweep Valley Invite, Triton girls grab second
MENTONE — Plymouth’s cross country runners took first in both the girls’ and boys’ races at the Tippecanoe Valley invitational. Triton’s girls’ team took a second-place finish
Plymouth junior Vivy Miller led the whole race and coasted in for the 1st place, while her freshman teammate, Brooklyn Scruggs, took the overall second place. Senior Lauren Gurtner was third for the Pilgrims, who continue to run strong and consistently. Junior Taylor Schadek tied her lifetime PR today in a very strong personal race.
For the Plymouth boys, senior Freddy Kallenberg led the boys with a 5th-place overall finish. Sophomore Nolan Carroll and Freshman Jaxon O’Connor both had PR’s by 20-30 seconds, which really helped the Pilgrims get the team win.
