Lady Pilgrims take a win over Riley

PLYMOUTH — The Lady Pilgrims turned in a strong performance Wednesday night as they hosted South Bend Riley in a non-conference matchup, taking a 45-39 win.
Plymouth wasted no time establishing momentum, opening the first quarter on fire from beyond the arc. Olivia Warner and Chloe Horton each knocked down three early triples to energize the Pilgrims’ offense.
Warner finished the night with 9 points and 5 rebounds, while Horton led all scorers with an impressive 24 points and 9 rebounds. Lydia Wray continued her all-around consistency, adding 8 points, 5 assists, and 8 rebounds to help pace the Pilgrims on both ends of the court.
Plymouth’s defensive effort was equally notable, as the Lady Pilgrims played disciplined, connected team defense against an athletic Riley squad. The collective energy carried throughout the game, with all Plymouth players seeing the floor and contributing to the victory.
It was a complete team win for the Lady Pilgrims as they continue to build confidence and momentum in their season.
The JV took a 32-25 loss. Miel Ramirez had eight points and seven rebounds for Plymouth who is now 7-2 on the year.
