Triton runners get double wins
BOURBON — The Triton Track & Field teams delivered a dominant performance, with both the boys and girls squads earning victories over North Judson and North Miami.
The Triton girls team claimed 1st place with 74 points, finishing ahead of North Miami (50) and North Judson (31). The Lady Trojans were led by multiple event winners, including Rilee Bemish (100m hurdles, pole vault), Evelyn Gephart (1600m, 800m), Kiyliyen Fear (100m), and strong relay performances in the 4×800 and 4×100. The team also saw depth across events with key finishes in hurdles, sprints, and field events.
On the boys side, the Triton team secured 1st place with 85 points, topping North Judson (54) and North Miami (24). The Trojans showed strength across the board with event wins from Isaac Quintana (200m), Lincoln Williams (800m), Brayden Nifong (3200m), Cameron Callahan (high jump), and Brady Schuh (shot put and discus). Triton also dominated the relays, taking first in the 4×800, 4×100, and 4×400.
Overall, Triton’s balanced effort, highlighted by numerous individual champions and relay victories, powered both teams to an impressive sweep on the night.
